Finally got the Buck 94NC installed. After winding up about 3 inches short on the vertical pipe and cutting the horizontal pipe twice and it was still too short, I went with adjustable lengths. It was a breeze after that.

Just had to fire it up, even though it was almost 80 degrees yesterday. Took it to between 250 and 300 degrees three times. It burned about 3 hours with some spruce kindling and 4 2-3 inch maple limbs.

Guess I'll have to wait until winter to see how it does.

Dang, I looked up the specs on that thing: (broken link removed to http://www.buckstove.com/wood/model94nc.html) thats one heck of a wood stove! 4.4cf firebox!! and I thought my 3.27cf firebox was big...

Ya, that thing is a monster. Looks like you will be warm and toasty next winter. Congrats.

Even looks big in the basement. How much will you be heating?
Heard some mixed reviews on it. We'll expect a full, detailed review ( I would insert some kind of smiley here if I knew how to do it from my phone).

I'm interested as well. Have never really gotten a full review on the big Buck.

I don't want to degrade frome anyones joy in getting a new woodstove. But here's my take on the 94nc,one of which I owned all of one month before getting rid of it . (traded it on a new BK,lost my arse$) Of the 4 woodstoves I owned since 2004 this was by far the worst. This stove will NOT burn more than 6 hours on a full load of the finest wood fodder on the planet! You'd better own a tract of land encompassing many acres of hardwoods to satisfy its insatiable appetite for fuel.On a full load on high, I couldn't feel heat from 4 feet in front of the stove. The stove has absolutely no lip to keep ashes in it,straight in ,straight out.A strangely designed firebox that IMHO doesn't hold nearly what their claims are.In less than 1 month all the electrical wires to operate the blowers melted, and we had to vacate the house for a day, due to the toxity of the fumes.Customer service in my case was next to useless if not totally useless.Perhaps I got a lemon.Good luck to anyone owning one or thinking of getting one.

I remember your review and that is why I want to hear additional reviews. I am not saying your experience is not accurate, but your review leaves more questions than answers.
