We've had ours since 2008, and wouldn't hesitate recommending it to anyone. In that time, we've had 2 catalysts, replaced the blower fan/rheostat, and I've replaced the door gasket twice. Service from our local dealer has been excellent. Parts from Buck are readily available. It's very simple to operate and capable of long overnight burns. Construction is battleship solid. The front glass measures roughly 16" wide x 10" tall, with two side glasses of 2" x 10". For scale, the hearth is 12'6" wide, 15" tall. Top of the mantle is 64". This stove is a beast. We love it.

The wife and I are purchasing a Model91 this week replacing a Model 81, which just didn't get the job done in my house. I think the small firebox was the issue. Constantly filling it, and it took a while to get useable heat from it as well. My question is how long will a good fill up last in the 91? I'm using primarily red oak and yellow/black locust. The 81 would go around 8 hours but it didn't produce useable heat. Thanks!!

I can get 10/12 hours on a stuffed load of seasoned oak or hickory.
My favorite is white oak because it produces about half the ash as others
and still burns really hot.
