Burning Season Is here!

Well finally lit up the stove this morning. Could of probably fired it up last week when highs were in the 50's and lows in the 30's at night. Finally last night it got down to 19 where I am and even got a dusting of snow. We dont really have a shoulder season like most do as 2 weeks ago it was in the low 70's high 60's we usually just wake up one day and winter is here!!

Looking good. Today was the end of fifty something days over 90 degrees here. Cold front and storm just blew through and temp is down to 68 so the windows just flew open for the first time in months.

Enjoy the fire. I can wait awhile myself.

I knew it was suppose to get cold last night but didnt expect 19 since they were predicting low 30s and defiantly was not expecting a snow dusting.

I fired up this AM due to a guy that let a dead tree fall on the power lines; I had to brew some "cowboy coffee" on the fire pit.
I would not like having no Fall season. We've got at least another month before shoulder burning commences.
BB, the front came through here last night. Luckily, the heaviest weather missed us north. Now it's beautiful; 70s and low humidity.

Our temp is down to 66 but humidity is 84%.

The only thing that saved us from the 100* temps was the lower than normal humidity. Greatest wood-drying Summer ever!

No kidding on the heat and humidity. It was kind of like a hair dryer. I cut some partially dead oak last year so it
should be real dry for burning this year. I hope. We're in day 100 for the drought.
