How old was it and what happened?

10 years old. Rusted through from an unknown water leak. FWIW, we like the Pacific Energy Summit just fine. Just figured it's worth seeing what else is out there and what other people might think is better.

That's too bad. I hope the leak is fixed. The Summit is still a non-cat leader but if you're looking for something different, what is important?

Price is a factor. Looking at models that qualify for the tax credit. But also don't want to be disappointed with the heat it produces compared with the Summit. I really like the look of the Summit, but that's something I'm willing to compromise. Thanks.
