After a good run with my St. Croix Hastings, it's time for me to get a new pellet stove. I'm looking for a stove that has
- similar heating capacity (1800 square feet)
- is quiet (my wife's #1) request

Any suggestions? Any thoughts on choosing a cast iron vs a steel stove?

thanks

Buy what you feel is the best for you
but the most important thing is buy the one your wife likes
This forum seems to be a Harman community but personally
I like the Enviro Both good North American built stoves

Quite? Never seen a quite pellet stove WITH good air flow...
Moving air makes noise...thats the nature of the beast...
But i agree, there are real loud ones out there (mine for example)

Cast iron stoves are usually the quietest, but you’ll always have air movement. The Quadrafire Trekker or Harman XXV or Absolute would be your best bet. I’ve only ever had two customers who preferred a different stove over a Harman.
