Well here she is, finally done except for the staining and some interior work.

Thought I'd add a couple more since I was just sitting here nursing a rum & coke lol.

A shot from the deck looking into the bay of Buck lake, west facing with beautiful sunsets.

We still have to finish the kitchen and flooring so we have some work to do but its coming. We were there this past weekend and fired up the PE super step top and it got toasty to about 22c in 1.5 hours. It was -15c outside at the time and we only had a space heater going inside.

Thanks for looking!!

Any walleye in that lake?

Zap

walleye, Northern Pike, perch, Burbot, Whitefish, yup pretty decent supply. I should add the lake is bigger than it looks there, its over 25sq klm's so its a decent size. We're looking into the bay.

I really like the timber frame style great work

Very nice! What kind of wood it that on the railings outside?

Incredible place!
Awesome job.

Beautiful cabin. Cabins like that just beg for a stove, don't they?

Looks awesome! Love the look of all that wood on the interior.

Nice looking place.

Lack of any trees. Thought you were living in the prairies by the pics.

Plant some Osage Orange.

Cudos, How long will that wood last out in the elements?

Sharp looking cabin.

I hope long enough to get a stain on it. There should be a mill finish on the wood that will help keep some of the elements out. Also we live in a drier climate with less humidity so that should help. In any event we are at the mercy of the weather and have to wait now till it warms enough and long enough to stain. We'll sand it down and stain as soon as we can in the spring.

Thanks everyone.
