OK guys as u know I'm restoring a old pot belly stove and have cemented it all together to make it air tight, my question is can i paint the stove and the cemented joints before heat curing the cement and then cure everything at once?

Go to town. Even if it cracks in cement joints,,,,, you'll just need to touch up later and that is fine.
