So NH
I have 35 to 40 cord css fully seasoned wood, 90% oak. 6 cord of oak rounds to be split for the winter workout. I like to split by hand. Grabbed 6 truck loads of oak this weekend for about 4 1/2 more cord of oak. That's 10 1/2 to split in winter. That will put me around 50 cord, I only burn around 5 a year. I wish I could stop but I can't help but jump on free wood. Worst part of getting wood is stacking, I HATE stacking. Now people are talking about my hard wood.

You have a large field / yard you keep it stacked on? Or do you spread it out all over the place? Top covered or just open?

I process about 10 to 12 cord of wood a year myself. I can't imagine having what I do in a year, x 3 ON HAND.

We need some pics ::-)

Any pics? Thanks.....

Once you have enough C/S/S to last the rest of your life, then you can start selling some. Sell the oldest stuff for maximum return, rotate your stock to maintain freshness. Don't plan on moving.

Its all over the place. I have a 5 ft wide X 6 ft high woodstack fence that's about 150 ft long. Another that is 30. A sheter logic full. Then various 5X6X10 stacks splattered around. All are top covered with rubber roofing. I only have an acre of land, all the stacks are on the border. Slowly making barricade of wood around the property.

That does give you a lot less grass to cut.

Pics!!! You can't use words like that, get everyone all hyped up and then not post pics of this monstrosity! :)
As a newbie to this obsession, I wanna see what 50 cords looks like!
Not to good with the pics thing. Maybe go on the roof and take a pic from that angle. Would have to take a walk around the whole house to see what it looks like. Only place there isn't wood is the front yard for now.

I consider my wood stacks cheap free fencing that doubles as heat.

Ok that is just creepy. I did google earth it. You can see some of my stacks. The ruts I made coming into the yard with wood this spring also. They must have taken the latest photo in april. Snow is gone, but pool is still frozen. If someone could invent a jammer for an area they would be rich. Must be a way to avoid satellites.

We need pics!! Gotta show my sons next time they come around that someone's got WAY more wood than their old man. My youngest is a wise guy. He named my stacks Mt Woodmore and Wood Valley (which you can kinda see in my I'd pic). I'll ask him to nickname your stash! My recommendation is keep proceessing and stop counting! Woodaholics don't know the answer to " how much wood is THAT? " we just shrug and give em a half smile.

Wow, 50 cords on an acre?? My wife complains about my piles on our acre & a quarter. I can't even imagine what yours looks like. We definitely need pictures!

I think you need to take a screen shot of google maps or earth of your property and post it here
