I am looking to give my stove some fresh air. My problem is that the back of my fireplace is in my garage not to the outside. So I was thinking about popping through the fireplace going up with pvc then over and install a soffit vent. To do this would i would need at least 3 -90 bends. I am not sure how many bends you can have for intake. Also it appears that it should be 2" pipe.
Just want others thoughts?

I don't think the number of bends are critical for an OAK.
If they were, you wouldn't be allowed to use flexible ducting
for that application.

What about upsizing and using 3 or 4" round metal heat ducting. It would probably be cheaper than using PVC. If you use adjustable 90's, it gives you a lot more flexibility than using PVC as well.

longer run of pipe going down with heavier cold air somewhat negates some elbows etc. if close to the same length as output.
