Hello everyone I'm new to this site and this is my first post. I recently purchased an Englander wood stove and upon initial inspection and cleaning I noticed that the catalytic combustor was in pieces and laying in the bottom under ashes. I priced the original part for the stove and the combustor seems expensive. My question is this even though it's not regulation, am I able to run the stove for a short period of time ( a month) with no catalytic combustor? Just long enough for me to save enough money to purchase a new one.
