I love it. When I was a teenager we made a minibike with a chainsaw engine.
It was able to get up to 30 mph.
It had an aluminum motor mount that my friends father made.
No muffler, no brakes and the throttle was controled buy a wire tied to the foot peg and we would use our heal to push down on it.
I wore out 3 pairs of sneakers stopping the bike in one summer:)

Sounds like a whole lot of fun :)

Had a close call with a go cart, clutch blew apart , just missed my head!!!

Reminds me of when I was young (no, we didn't have dinosaurs) and saw a guy mounting a chevy v8 on his motorcycle! Holy smokes! I remember he took it to the drag strip but don't remember the speeds.

Oh yeah, it had no pull start, so we would shove quarters in the clutch and push start it. My father was a little pissed when his change jar was shrinking quickly.
So then we switched to the knockouts on the electrical boxes;)
Its seems like kids just don't do that stuff anymore.

In many cases, we'd get arrested for trying. If it's not the safety nanny parents, it's the fuzz.
Your right, we used to take the go carts to to the drive in theater cuz we knew the owner, FUN, but on Sundays we would go to big parking lots, of closed stores, and cops never bothered us.
Probably couldn't get away with it now <>
