Set up at a rough camp ready for the eclipse. There were only 4 vehicles a couple days ago, but about 30 now. bcd282d7c67137b22e9d6ef507884bbb.jpg

This turned out to be an awesome and special event. Our location was perfect and we were fortunate to have a couple astronomers show up, one with an 11" telescope that made for some great night viewing too. One couple traveled to our camp from Nottingham, England. They had spent weeks going over Google Maps and satellite views and chose this location. Amazing. Nothing will beat NASA's photos so I'll share a couple with you in case you haven't seen them already.

Edit, these are not NASA photos, they are photoshopped specials

Not much of a show here in Maine . . . the two times I checked it out it looked like a quarter of the sun was blotted out. Guess we have to wait another seven more years before we get to see the big show.

Yes, I may travel to the east to see that one.

Here are a couple of my crappy cell phone pics from the Denver Area...

What I enjoyed about this eclipse was the sharing with my co workers..... everyone was sharing glasses, welding helmets, etc (the building next to us is SUNATION, who were having an eclipse party. They came over & handed out glasses, too :))

Kinda nice.

We didn't get a full. Didn't even get dark

Yes, the social aspect was one of the highlights. I took one picture that caught the corona at totality, but didn't want to spend a lot of time looking at the camera screen. There was too much cool stuff happening all around to get boggled down in technology.
