Newbie here. Need some advice. Putting in a jotul 3cb and understand the minimum height for chimney should be 14-16 ft. Question. I have several placement options for the stove, one along a wall , another in the middle of a cathedral ceiling room. Wouldnt the long chimney pipe extending ten ft up thru the cathedral ceiling be a better option since the chimney will heat more air around it? As opposed to the stove near the wall which will only have about four ft of chimney lenghth inside the home.
Also, the wall stove would also need the double walled pipe to satisfy clearance requirements...and I understand insulated piping is costly.
Thanks in advance for any advice

If you are in the middle of the room, single wall will do.
Once you get to the ceiling that single wall will stop
& from there you'll need Class A chimney all the way to the cap.
