Had the insulated SS chimney liner installed today, can't wait to fire up the Englander 30. When I had the clay tile chimney inspected last week due to a thin film of glaze creosote. Found that there were also some fine cracks in the tile, but most disturbing of all, when this chimney was installed in the late 70's (well before we bought this house), the clay tile tubes were "dry stacked" with no mortar between the sections. Took the installers a few hours to knock out the clay lining a few days ago, then today they spent a few hours installing the stainless steel insulated liner. Can already feel how much better the draft is through the 6 inch liner even without the 30 being connected yet. Looking forward to the upcoming burning season, new stove, new liner, & dry wood. Learned a lot from you guys & gals over the last 6 months, thanks.

Yeah. Like you can wait for burning season. Hook that bad boy up and start a fire.
