my kerosene stove has a simple stovepipe that goes through a solid concrete ceiling/floor through toa bedroom on the second floor and then through a poured concrete roof to the outside. I know that the present simple thin (aluminum?) pipe I have will not fit the bill for a wood stove, but what do i need if the stove pipe/chimney will not really be close to any wood joists or floors?

You will also need a chase around the chimney where it passes through the 2nd floor bedroom
