Hi,

I got a pellet stove last year. It is a St. Croix. I am trying to clean it, I cleaned it from the outside easily, but know I am having trouble from the inside. There is a cap at the bottom of the pipe that fits on the inside of the adjoining pipe. I can not figure out how to get this off so I can run a brush up there. Is there a special tool I need to twist it off? Thanks for your help.

One more thing. On the bottom of the T, underneath there was silicone. I took the silicone out and I still can't it off.

Check for screws and use a pursuader, dead blow hammer and a block of soft wood. realize the crud at the bottom of the pipe has started acting like glue. Make sure you brush and vacuum the exhaust path into the stove....
