This may be a dumb question but..........I cleaned out the stove yesterday, took out the baffle bricks and vaccumed the whole thing out. There was alot of fine ash up there by the way, and now the stove seems to have woken right up! It heats up much faster and I seem to have more control of it once again. Does this make any sense or is it all in my mind?

Have you ever noticed that your car seems to run better after it is washed too?

Maybe you cleaned out the areas where it gets draft. If so, it makes a lot of sense. You should be doing this every spring from now on.
