I have an old freestanding Craft Stove (model #30) and want to install it into a new addition we're building. It has a box fan blower on the back. I was told that I need 36" of clearance from the back of the fan. This will put my stove way out from the wall, right in the walkway. Does anyone know if I can get away with less? I can't find any manual online.

You could build a NFPA 211 approved wall protector to bring the clearances down. As with any change to a structure, make sure that the insurance company is on board and that they are OK with covering you with the stove you are running.

This link may help you fill in some gaps. https://www.hearth.com/econtent/index.php/articles/stove_wall_clear

Good luck and welcome to the site!

A proper ventilated wall shield can reduce the clearances down to 12".

Carla... I am also looking for a manual for a 300. Did you find one?
