I just swapped out the combustion blower motor on my VF100 and I noticed the Enviro label on the box stated that the motor was an increased RPM motor. The last one I bought didn't have this description on the box. When I hooked the increased RPM motor up the first time, I got a shutdown error with two blinking lights on the control panel. I swapped the two power connectors and the start up was normal. So I have to figure that the new motor has a different polarity configuration than the previous motor. It didn't matter how the two wires were connected on the old one. Does this make sense to any Techs out there?;?

No unless it has 3 wires and it is a 2 speed blower? What is the Enviro part # ?

Sorry for the delay responding.. The part# is EF-161-A. It has two wires. Maybe the wires weren't competely seated the first time?

Hello

Yes, a bad connection can cause weird things. LOL It does say increased RPM on the Enviro Web Site for this part but as far as I know they are all 3,000 RPM which is very standard. How many RPM is on the motor label?

My bad! I didn't look when I put it in. I'll open the panel up in the morning and post a picture.

O.K. I finally peeked inside the panel and you are right! The RPM rating is 3,000 on the Fasco motor. Not only that, but the old motor (Jakel) has the same rpm rating.
