I have a one year old unit. Out of the box we have had issues with the auger feed. We had to disable the lid switch to get it to work. Two weeks ago i had my pellet service person do a major cleaning. After he was done the auger wouldnt feed. We did everything we possibly could do over the course of two weeks and could not resolve.

I am looking for someone who is familiar with these units to do service. Is there anyone out there who can help?

TIA,

Gary

Do you have a friend that could help you test the vacuum switch and wiring?

I do, what in particular are you looking for?

You could check the tube to the stove, and check to see if it "clicks" when you gently suck on it. Also check the wiring to make sure it's good at both ends.
Edit - from manual another thing to try:
Problem: Auger not feeding pellets The stove operates, but does not feed pellets. Ensure that the hopper is full. When the hopper gets low, the pellets can funnel or bridge, causing a low density feeder problems. Ensure that the hopper lid switch, and vacuum pressure switches are engaging. Press the info button ( ! ) to check if Feed, Vacuum, and Limit are engaging. Solutions: Auger may have a buildup or jam. Empty the hopper and try to activate the auger in the diagnosis menu to see if the auger will turn. *Note: If the auger is making a squeaking or groaning noise, you may want to lubricate the auger system with a lubricant such as graphite powder or white lithium grease

When the unit was cleaned, did the service person
Happen to reenable the hopper lid switch?

I had a bearing that was dried out, I removed it popped off the plastic seals, cleaned with WD-40, repacked with grease and reassembled. Not sure if this is the video I watched but similar to R&R

You didn't replace the bearings with new ones?

I didn't have one available at the time and it was an easy R&R so I figured I would give it a try and it worked and is still going almost two years. I do have a spare on hand now.
Hey, did you manage to put the seals back on ?
" popped off the plastic seals, cleaned with WD-40, repacked with grease and reassembled."
I didn't think you could get a seal back on?

It's been a while but I'm pretty sure the seals snapped back into place, I removed them carefully with a dental pick not to bend or damage them.

That's great! Good to know, as sometimes you have to take the equipment apart to read the bearing numbers. With new grease and the seals back on, the grease will stay in there. I have heard that some people have oiled their sealed ball bearings which would not work.

How would you reenable the switch?
Depends on how they disabled it in the first place is it a plunger type switch , Did they tape the plunger down? Did they cut wires at switch and hook the wires together to disable? Did service tech put wire back on? Or did they unplug from the control board and insert a jumper? [Hearth.com] ComfortBilt HP22I Auger Feed Issue
