Hi all,

I got some good perspectives a few weeks back on stove options for a well-sealed new construction and am back with install questions.

Ashford 30.2. Am I reading the manual correctly for a corner install (double wall pipe up through the ceiling, no wall protection, on polished concrete floor)?

1) I can layout my flue to drop down from the ceiling at 16.875" (or more!) from each wall (Measurement F) and the rest of the clearance measurements would fall into place at acceptable distances? Is planning the install that simple?

2) I also see dimension E listed at 4", but from my attempt at hand sketching this out on grid paper, if I draw a cross section at 16.875 (F) and then take the other measurements off the stove dimensions page, the back corners are within the 4" required by E? Am I simply drawing this incorrectly somewhere?

Consider adding a margin of safty and make F dimension 19" to the center of flue if the connector is double-walled stove pipe. Some wiggle room is a good thing and it makes it easier to service the blower. A single-walled 6" connector would require 21" minimum.

Thanks @begreen. I've got all of 1 install under my belt, but are the manufacturer's pretty good about this data? IE, if I go do a layout based on what's shown in measurement F, is measurement E going to be correct as well? Are these measurements established individually, in a vacuum, or based on the overall physical dimensions of the stove?

The tested data yes, the artist's depiction... uncertain.
