I plan on purchasing a Quadra-fire Classic Bay 1200. I plan on installing the stove myself and placing it in the basement on the South-East corner since I cannot place the stove in the center of the house and run a flue trough the roof. There instruction say that the fresh air intake should be place on the windward side of the house, there are times that I have a 10-15 mph wind. Wouldn't I loose efficiency of the stove with this much wind blowing into the intake? If I do place the vent on the North side of the house the intake vent will be about 22'-25' long, and from what I have read in your forum it should only be about 10'-12' long. Will it cause me any grief down the road putting on the East side of the house close to the exhaust vent?
