couple tree id's please

Flowers appear to be an oak (a bit blurry), and if they belong to that last tree, it looks similar to our swamp white oak (Quercus bicolor), so maybe it's your swamp chestnut oak (Q. michauxii)? Leaves are immensely helpful with the southern oaks, and even then...

No doubt that is a Pecan, or one of it's Hickory cousins, and those are catkins hanging off the limbs. I have a Pecan tree in my back yard and those catkins make a huge mess every year. Great wood for BBQ and if you burn it the whole neighborhood will be craving some pulled pork.

Pecan wood eh? Pretty cool I've never come across a Pecan tree (that I noticed) and don't even know if they grow wild up in Pennsylvania. If you take that tree down post up some pics of the split wood. I'm always curious to check out a species I've never came across before.

I'm guessing pecan splits about like hickory?

I got some here a few years back but don't know if they were wild or planted. Good stuff, burns about like Hickory. And like Hickory, you can't leave it lying around....doesn't hold up too well.

Pecan is a species of hickory. So if pecan burns like hickory, well that's because it is hickory.

Are these wild trees growing in the woods? If so, then they will not look much like an ornamental tree planted in a yard. Yard trees grow huge canopies with lower branching where wild trees tend to have much higher limbs and straighter growth since they are competing with each other for sunlight. Nice stove btw.

Yea It's in the woods. I just assumed it would be similar. Thanks for the compliment. Can't wait to set it and fire it up
