I noticed my baffle plate (or whatever that ceramic stone thingy is called that sits on top of the burn tubes) is cracked down the middle. Is this a problem? I am thinking I will wait until summer to replace it. I'm sure its job is to help keep the temps up in the firebox (along with the baffle insulation that rests on top of it) and I sure it is still doing that job for the most part.

It is part #51 on this schematic...http://parts.enerzone-intl.com/product.aspx?IdSite=2&Id=EB00016

If it is a hairline crack I wouldn't be too concerned. If it is a warranty issue though I would get on getting that process started immediately. Time to find out how well SBI stands behind that c-cast they are so proud of. ;)

Good point. I just went and looked up the warranty and they have a 5 year warranty on that part. I'll contact my dealer.
