Hello,
I bought this stove a few months ago and I’ve been having a good time learning about it.
I am pretty sure there is something wrong with the damper, but I figure I’d confirm before I take the stove apart.
Here is a photo of my damper as far open as it will go, and photos of the lever of in the fully closed and fully open positions.
This isn’t opening far enough right?
I’m assuming there must be something wrong with the connection that’s not allowing it to open all the way.
I can see in the manual that the illustration shows the damper being nearly horizontal when open, but that’s just an illustration and I wasn’t able to find photos or videos to confirm that.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks!

I have an Encore and there is something wrong with your damper if that's all it opens. If it's not hooked up you can remove the adapter for the stove pipe and get a good look at the linkage on the back and the retainers where it hinges they will bend. The linkage at the back of the handle is accessible inside the stove box you remove the cover.

Thank you for confirming that! It looked ok through the back of it. I’ll remove the panel and have a look at the linkage behind the handle

Another encore user, that’s not right. And yes you can see behind it with the pipe adapter off… too bad I didn’t see this yesterday, I would have grabbed a picture while I swept the pipes. I can snag a pic next reload if that would be helpful?

Edit, here’s a pic from the quick reload I just tossed on:
