Defiant II flue question

New guy here. I just picked up a VC Defiant II for free. I want to avoid sending the oval pipe straight back to an elbow, so I'm trying to determine what I need to get it going upright off the stove. I have found what seems to be an appropriate flue collar, but I know that needs to mount to something (heat plate?), but I cant seem to find a part that looks like it would fit. I appreciate any and all advice, thanks for reading. Jim
