Have to share some sad news. Dick Hill passed away today.
He was 97.
For those of you who do not know him, he was the inventor of the wood gasifier boiler and spent 46 years teaching and researching at the University of Maine.

Beyond that, he was a truly amazing person, and a proponent of the things we try to do here.

Thanks Tom. He will be a sadly missed as a rational proponent on energy policy.

He was more active in "retirement" than most folks were in their entire career.

Sad to hear of his passing. Quite often when loading the Jetstream, I think of him and his invention.

The photo is quite rare, generally Dick was always smiling. Most folks who met him usually assumed he was at least 10 years younger than he actually was. If you look around on you tube you can find a few of his lectures.

I'm sorry to hear that Tom, I know you two were close. We've lost a pioneer and a great contributor to the industry. Chris
