Hello, I am curious what your guys' thoughts are, if I installed the stove pipe correctly. Please ignore the stovepipe cement on the stovepipe. I thought I had an issue of smoke leaking out and found that it was leaking down and adjacent chimney flue.

I installed a six-inch stainless steel liner to a six-inch stove pipe single-wall tee, and then a 90° going directly into the wood stove. I installed the 90° bend to bring the wood stove out to get more heat.

Someone informed me that I should not be going from a six inch stainless steel liner to stove pipe, to the woodstove. They said I should have the stainless steel liner going from the wood stove to the top of the chimney. I have had the wood stove like this for 2-3 seasons and everything appears to be working well.

Stainless would be better but it's ok because the stove pipe is exposed and can be serviced.
