Question for the experts. Can I use a direct vented fireplace that I have in my living room and install it in a fireplace as an insert if of course I run a liner up the chimney? I know the two fireplaces are different but I was unsure if this could be done. I can't see why it couldn't but I know you wouldn't be able to put an insert in a regular wall. Does anyone know if this would be possible? Thanks.

AFAIK, Regency is the only manufacturer that has tested & approved the installation of a DV gas fireplace in a wood burning fireplace with a colinear venting system.
