I am purchasing a Mendota linear fireplace (ML60) and was wondering if any of the experts here might be able to help me understand the difference between some of their venting options since it's really hard to tell online.

Specifically, I am debating between the Cool Wall option (no fan, but a vent at the top of the wall above the fireplace) and the Versiheat option (option to vent into 2 rooms, but requiring a fan). I would like to vent into the room with the fireplace and also one next to this room, but curious:
  • How loud is the fan for the versiheat?
  • Is a fan required for versiheat if both duct runs are going up?
  • For versiheat, if one of the vents is above the fireplace at the top of the wall, does that not require a fan and I just need a fan on the other duct run?
Anything else to know when considering these two options? Thanks in advance for any guidance!
