Hi I am new to the computer searches and stuff, But I can't seem to find sticky' or post, dedicated to the general install of a flex liner kit or inserts, I looked on the Wiki also, All the post i see kind of address someone's certain problem.
My story is, I am picking up a Napoleon 1101 wood insert and flex liner kit today, leaving actually after i post this, It is going in a outside wall masonry fireplace, chimney is 22 ft. This is my first time for a install, but i consider myself very mechanical.
Just from thinking what needs to be done, it seems pretty straight forward, Was just looking for a general guide of some do's and do not'
Thanks all, will be back in a few hours, look forward to the reply's, hope to install tomorrow.
P.S. I saw a post about doing a pre burn out in the driveway, to get rid of some of the new stove smell, any comments on this idea? And would I need to put a 6 ft rigid on just for this one or two times for draw? Or just let it burn with no pipe, thinking the smoke has to come out of course, maybe just not that as efficient as with pipe. What do you think?
