Do you guys think my system will be OK, Begreen thanks for the help so far, any advice with the stove piping, as I`m going to build my own stove, will placing the coils inside the stove below the chimney, what do you think? [Hearth.com] Domestic hot water reservoir

You may want to introduce you cold water to the tank via a dip tube near tank bottom. This will create thermal stratification in the tank with colder water going to the stove and hotter water going to your house. This is done in residential water heaters.

Hi Semipro, thanks for the tip, my cold water which is in the reservoir at the top where the ball valve is, enters the reservoir through the 3/8 pipe down to the bottom of the reservoir,(dotted in the diagram), please could you give me a sketch to clarify what you mean

I thinking now that I don't understand your sketch. Do you have two distinct chambers separated by the circular dotted line? I guess I don't understand what the vertical dashed line is. You said a pipe to the bottom but what does it connect to at the top?
