I replaced my door gasket on my Castline F400 and tried to get away with not replacing the glass gasket. Previous years when I bought the full gasket kit, the glass gasket that came with it had an adhesive back which made the install clean and easy without using a glue/cement. I don't replace the ash door gasket because I don't use it, which seems to make buying the full gasket kit a bit of a waste. This year I decided to only replace the door gasket and later realized the glass gasket needs replacement. It definitely leaks leaving evidence of leaking where the clamps hold the glass to the door. I think Jotul requires a 3/16" gasket for the glass. Can I just buy a generic 3/16" rope gasket and cement it in?

Flat, glass gasket is what should be used. It's easy to order online, but be sure it's long enough for that big window.

I have not been able to find 3'16" flat gasket anywhere online. Do you have a suggestion?

Look on EBay. I’ve been getting Jotul gaskets from Kingdom Wood Stoves.

If this is the size I need, 3/8 inch diameter (3/8") low-density round gasket rope, I cannot find it anywhere, ebay included. Kingdom Woodstoves included.
