Double Seasoned Firewood?

Ok, here's one I haven't seen before, double seasoned?? If I take it home and it sits til next year is it triple seasoned?

I have a ton of split double seasoned firewood for sale. Must take all, serious inquires only. I think is is either Maple or Oak.

Must be able to transport, I can not deliver

Mabey they mean it got seasoned, then wet again, then seasoned. We call that rotten

It might be that he means it has been "split double" as in split twice, seasoned firewood. Instead of meaning "double seasoned" firewood.

The only reason I say this is because someone locally was selling what he referred to as double split firewood. Now I just have to figure out what double split means. ;-)

That wold be OVER- seasoned and you would have to throw it out as it is ruined.

I think he laid the splits all out to season for a while, then he went out and turned them all over with a spatula. That's what I do. %-P Rick

The double seasoning thing is a riot but how about the fact that he "thinks" it is maple or oak.

He doesn't know?????

I suspect he means the wood has been cut, split and stacked for two years . . . odd choice of words . . . but since many folks would consider one year fine for seasoning wood, he might view two seasons as "double seasoned."

How many cubic feet is a "ton"?

Double seasoned, it was cut split in winter so it had all two seasons to dry - spring and summer. A ton might be the same amount as the tons of unfinished projects I have, or the ton of dirt collecting in the corner. Maybe I can sell the ton of paperwork on my desk?
