Question:
I have a double sided metal fireplace. When in use it causes a smoke in one room. Would like to close one side up, is this possible? Would it need to be totally removed or is there an accessory to close it for good, like a metal shield for one side? Could you tell me where to look for help?
Answer:
If it is a pre-fab metal fireplace, then it might be dangerous to seal one side. Sometimes air cooling vents could be covered which would make the unit get too hot.
Even a set of glass doors on one or both sides should greatly cut down or eliminate the smoking.
