We just got our new Osburn 3500 put in and I need to touch up the paint on our black double wall stove pipe. It got a bit scratched when things got moved around…or maybe the scratch was always there, it’s just visible now.

The question is: is typical black pipe a matte or satin finish? Our pipe almost looks like the satin finish would be the correct one. I see both are options with Stove Bright Paint.

It may vary by brand but my duravent is certainly a satin.
