I have a Drolet ECO-65 pellet stove and there appears to be a problem with the control panel. The LED display is not working. The only LED visible at all is the 1 red dot that signifies that the temp is at lowest setting. If i try to turn unit temperature up there is nothing that happens when i push the "up" button. When i push the "down" button it beeps when pushed. I want to order the part to replace but I'm not certain if i need to get the Membrane switch on cover which is a $40 part or if i have to order the housing for electronic control board membrane which is a $295.00 part. Can anyone give me any insight on this? The stove does work but it runs at lowest temp .

I haven't heard of this problem before ... so hard to say if it is the membrane or the switch board itself. Haven't seen many of the members that have Drolets lately either...

What have you tried for troubleshooting?

Thank you for the info. I did in fact spoke to tech support earlier and figured out fortunately that it was only a $30 membrane switch. I decided that i wanted to hook up a thermostat in the meantime while waiting for the new part to arrive. I'm trying to figure out how to hook up a "nest" thermostat which should have been a simple 2 wire install. It turns out that in some situations require a low voltage common wire to be run to the nest therm to provide power. So.....now my dilemma is where exactly to tap into in stove to gain low voltage common wire to run to thermostat. I'm sure i will be on the phone with tech support again tomorrow.

Glad to hear that it was the less expensive part!

I know there are some threads on the forum about installing Nest thermostats but may be best to contact tech again to avoid an expensive error.
