Have the Blaze King Ashford 25, wondering if anyone has tried and put a vent right above their wood burning insert to let the warm air travel upstairs. I would insulate the duct work because I need to run it through the attic on the lower level then have another vent to the upstairs. Anyone try this and have success? I saw a house online that looked like it had this type of set. Thanks in advance for your help.

This was just asked. The nearest a return intake can be is 10ft. Closer is against code.

Thanks for your response. I'm not looking to put a return intake just a vent that will allow the hot air to move upstairs. My return intake for my central air conditioning unit is upstairs.

If there is no blower in the duct then it might be ok, with a fusible-lin fire damper.

Yes, the duct needs to be large enough to convect the air easily. A good return path for the air helps convection too.
