I installed the pellet vent pro pipe on my pellet stove and find the pipe leaks smoke at times, so what I did is silicone the slots on the end of the pipe, my question is does anyone know if this is a problem?

It is leaking at the end where it attaches to the stove/appliance adapter? If so yes you have to seal the open "female" end of the pipe.
