We are in the middle of installing our DuraPlus Chimney and DVL stove pipe (thru the wall installation). We don't quite understand how the close clearance adapter connects to the chimney section extending thru the wall.

The Close Clearance Adapter (CCA) should fit inside the inward end of the Class A section coming thru the thimble. The DVL should attach to the CCA by screws thru the black outer wall that DO NOT penetrate to the inner liner...
You might need another one at the stove connection...

The DVL "snaps" onto the CCA; however, the CCA doesn't snap onto the chimney pipe. The CCA snaps into the wall thimble and then the chimney pipe just slides into the CCA and really only about 1.5". So the chimney pipe isn't secured onto the CCA.
