When I first started looking at stoves I considered this stove, found a distributor that would let me look at it and sell it to me for a very good price. Needless too say when I finally got serious about what stove and DRAGGED my wife to look at some other stoves, she preferred the cast iron look over the steel, personal preference.

But if a steel stove was in the picture, I probably would have ended up with this one. It is built pretty well, looked OK (my wife thought it looked like a TV). Honestly, a cast iron stove goes with our decor better. Don't tell her she was right, it will go to her head.

I looked at Zoobler's (one of the sponsors of this site), the price was better than dynamitebuys.com

Not a bad price. The Energy Center in Manhattan, KS priced one to me almost 2 years ago for about $2000 and that was without the gold door. Ended up buying the Osburn 1600 and have been very pleased with it. Wished it had come with a thermostat controlled blower though.
