Earthquake & wood stacks

Had an earth quakes that shook for almost a minute.
Some parts of the stack fell & some leaning.

3°f with 25 MPH winds, near -20 wind chill.
Wood is freeze-drying

Reports say no damage, some stuff falling off shelves, should send them a pic of my stacks! LOL

I can tell ya right now, that would make me MAD.......but what can you do? I bet that woodshed's stacks are still darn near perfect...
Do you have problems with the drywall cracking with all those earthquakes up there, Dave?

House seems fine
Some wood fell in the shed, but just a little.

Do you have problems with the drywall cracking with all those earthquakes up there, Dave?

Yea, some cracks in the sheet rock, over doors & corners, not bad though.

What about the moose antlers, they stay on the shed? Hate to see ya lose those!

Antlers made it. Had 75 - 80 MPH wind gusts that took some roofing off though. More roofing nails & some roofing cement when repaired this spring.

Wow Dave. Glad it wasn't any worse, although that's bad enough.
Pick away at it, but get that stuff off the ground at least. You know, I guess it won't go bad on the ground in winter. It'll just freeze.
Did you try to "fool Mother Nature" or something?

Heck, you probably go out there from time to time and knock them down on purpose just so you can restack and take a deep snif of a split

There was an earthquake in new England too, I think it was centered in Maine, much smaller than what you guys get on a regular basis.

Wasn't very strong out here, I'd guess maybe a 2-3 at best. I hardly noticed it actually.

Dave, I'm really surprised to see your stacks fallen over! Must have been pretty wobbly?

If it warms up a bit & the wind slows I'll get it re-stacked.
I can rotate the shaded side wood to the sunny side

Wife said it shook the house pretty good & 2 big slams.

Dave, you really have some challenges up there. Not bad enough that the ground shakes you but then those winds on top of that. Wow! Glad we did not experience any of that when we were in Alaska.

Unbelievable Dave. Glad to hear the moose antlers made it ok. My luck would be to restack then another tremor would happen and dump it all again.

We will allow an extra 30 days for you to get the stacks back up to picture perfect standards that you have set!
