Hi, My first time on the site. I need to replace my old boiler. Has anyone had experience with or knowledge of the Econoburn EBC - 150 or any of the Econoburn units? What can you tell me about the units? Thanks.
For the last 4 winters , I have run an Econoburn 100 in my basement without storage. It has done a great job and is built like a tank . This year I am working feverishly on moving it to a dedicated boiler shed 60 feet from the house so I can add storage. In the past without storage , I did a lot of batch burning to keep the boiler from idling . The storage, as you are probably aware will allow will allow a full load of wood to burn flat out to heat the house and the 500 gallons of water for later use. I cannot say enough about the tech support I receive from Dale and Mark at Econoburn. I am lucky in that I live 1 1/2 from the factory and can drive there if I need anything. I am not a plumber or a hydronics expert, but with their help and this forum , i was able to do the initial install myself , and will do the move and install in the new shed as well. I was at the factory last week to pick up my Logstor underground pex flex pipe and the boilers where lined up ready to be shipped out. Neat to see. If you have specific questions drop me a line. Bruce
Still waiting for the bill on the pipe, was purchased through a supplier in Michigan by the folks at Econoburn. When I get the bill , I will let you know. Bruce
