Question:
Is there some way to build a wood burning fireplace so that it will not pull all the warm air from the room and up the chimney? I do not want to use glass doors or an insert. Can air someway be vented from the outside to prevent drawing warm air out of the room. Any information you can supply will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Answer:
Yes, most manufactured fireplaces have a option for outside air intake. You can also purchase kits for use with site-built masonry fireplace.
