Does anyone have a battery/generator for their stove in case of a power outage?

Yes, many people do....do a search and you'll find many threads with generator/power backup topics.

I have a 100Ah battery with a solar collector to keep it charged. My pellet stove (Mt Vernon AE) is capable of running directly from the battery, but I also put in an inverter so that the stove can run it's igniter to restart. The stove runs in a lower power/lower output mode when it is on battery. This gives me emergency backup heat for the next time Connecticut Light and Power decides that restoring our power is a low priority.
