Stupid energy sucking fireplace! P/O put in a gas log still makes a worthless heat source all show! Here in Mo. its in minus territory and me know all that fireplace does is pull heat out of your house have a question?
is there an efficietn gas circulator you can put in the fireplace take the logs out!

Yup my mom has a heat n glo insert. I think it was about the same price as a woodstove insert. She wanted a woodstove but the flue was too small to get a liner in so the stove installers talked her into the gas unit. It does kick out heat but i don't think it is as effeceint as her gas boiler so, it's probably still sort of a waste. It's nice at Christmas though.
