Most glass gasket has one sticky side and one side that is not sticky. You put half the sticky side on outside of glass then fold it over so the other half of sticky side is inside. Kind of center gasket on edge of glass and fold toward inside and outside of glass. After running stove for a bit all stickiness goes way it is only on the gasket to hold it in place while installing.
