Hello, I'm new to this forum, but have been reading countless threads on pellet stove problems. I JUST bought and installed an Englander 2,200 sq. ft pellet stove, the 25-PDV from Home Depot. I followed the instructions exactly, turning it on for 20 minutes dry, and then restarting with a load of pellets.
The stove ran amazingly for about 30 minutes - pretty nice cup of pellets burning. And then the lower auger stopped.
I cleaned out the hopped, removed both motors, and twisted them by hand until they were free (they were both jammed). I thoroughly vacuumed out the end of the augers, it was back to brand-new condition. NO dust, NO pellets, nothing. I firmly re-attached the motors to the augers, placed clean pellets back in the hopper, and turned it on. Pellets started coming out, everything appeared fine. And then the lower auger stopped again. I twisted the end to help it out, and it went for a few turns, maybe 5 or 6 complete turns. And then it stopped again.
Basically if I help the lower auger out a little, it will turn, but only for a few evolutions. Then it stops.
Its a weekend, and Customer Support is closed. My house is about 40 degrees inside right now! Any advice is appreciated.
