Hello all, hope someone can help me out with this. I am trying to help a friend with her stove. Upper auger not turning. I switched the wires from the bottom auger to the top and it works so I assume the auger motor is ok. The hose to the vacuum switch (located on the control board side) appears fine and is connected at both ends, the hose to the switch on the exhaust blower side was brittle on the end so I cut that and reconnected it. What else should I look for? Is there a way to tell if the vacuum switch is bad? Any help, tips, suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

The upper auger power loops through a vac switch that detects if the door is open and a hopper lot switch which does the same. Trace the black wires from the auger motor backwards and disconnect one if the switches and try to restart. My guess is that the wires for the hopper lid became disconnected in the hopper or the switch is bad. Or....you were testing the stove with the hopper lid open trying to see if the auger was turning and your problem is something else entirely

Thanks for the quick reply. Question - where is the hopper lid switch located? I will be back over there this weekend and will trace the wires and see what happens. I appreciate your help in this, I am not the most mechanically inclined girl in the world and am doing my best to see if I can get this running without replacing vacuum switches without making sure it's needed. Again, many thanks for the help.

Have you cleaned the barb on the exhaust connection (vacuum or toothpick to ensure not plugged)?

Page 18 of the manual http://www.englanderstoves.com/manuals/25-PDVC.pdf :
The "door ajar" vacuum switch port must be kept clean, or the top auger will cease to function.
Locate the port hole to the right of the burn pot and, with the stove unplugged and cooled down, use a
brush or pipe cleaner (not a vacuum) to keep this port clear of ash or other debris (see picture).

Hopper switch may have been knocked out of position if it is like the 10cpm https://www.hearth.com/talk/threads/englander-10-cpm-multi-fuel-question.134766/#post-1808299

vac issue on comb motor would kick out a code, no code and running but not feeding is an inline issue on auger motor
