I bought an Englanger 25-pdvc new this fall. Its supposed to heat up to 1500 sq feet, i'm trying to heat 1350 sq feet. The only way that I can accomplish this is by running the stove on 8th or 9th setting, 9 being the highest and then its so loud that you cant enjoy sitting in the same room. Is this normal?

From what i have read here you can check your mode setting. I think your stove is factory set on "D". Changing mode to "C" should really wake up the stove so u can run it on a lower setting. I would call Englander and verify, i could be wrong.

Here is a post that speaks to what i was saying.
